It’s popularity is worldwide, so deffo worth a try. (Well, the world can’t be wrong, can it?) Tom Kha Kai is a mild-to-spicy soup with coconut milk, galangal and chicken. Mushrooms can either complement the chicken, or replace it. Kaeng Liang (Thai Vegetable Soup) is one of Thailand’s healthiest dishes, with a stock-based soup swimming with vegetables such as baby corn, broccoli, cauliflower, pumpkin and mushrooms, and flavoured with fish or soy sauce.
Som Tam (Papaya Salad)
Thai is one of the healthiest cuisines. Som Tam (Papaya Salad) is papaya with peanuts, dried shrimp or crab, palm sugar and other fresh vegetables – perfect for the hungry, but health-conscious among you. Khao Phat (Thai Fried Rice) is made with varying ingredients then served with fresh lime, cucumber, spring onions and chili peppers in fish sauce. Khao Niao (aka Sticky Rice) is a staple food of N and NE Thailand, and traditionally eaten using only the right hand. (Forgive us, but we’ll need two to deliver it.) Khao Man Gai (Chicken Rice) is rice steamed with garlic and served with a breast of sliced boiled chicken, a light chicken broth and a spicy dipping sauce. Protein? Yes. Carbs? Yes. Just Eat?
