Arabic Cuisine covers the Maghreb (North Africa), the Fertile Crescent (Eastern Med to Persian Gulf) and the Arabian Peninsula (countries between Persian Gulf and Red Sea) and the Just East app brings it to your doorstep. And everywhere, sharing food is a mark of generosity and hospitality (at Just Eat, we couldn’t agree more). Shawarma is trending deliciously at the moment and is a dish based on the Doner Kebab of Ottoman Turkey. Originally Lamb or Mutton, today's shawarma can be Chicken, Turkey, Beef or Veal, cut into thin slices and stacked in a cone-like shape on a vertical rotisserie. Fresh fish and seafood are also must-try cuisines. Sayadieh, for example, is a classic Arabic family dish prepared with saffron rice and firm, white fish then garnished with fried onions, sumac, almonds, pine nuts, mint and creamy Tahina Sauce – which is the second most important part of the dish.
