One meal that never falls flat is, you guessed, the Pancake. The famous Pancake (or if you want to sound a fancy, a Crêpe) is a flat cake, thin and round, prepared from a starch-based batter that may contain Plain Flour, Eggs & Milk and cooked on a piping-hot surface like a frying pan or griddle, usually in oil or butter. Archaeological evidence suggests that pancakes were probably the earliest and most widely distributed cereal-based food scoffed in prehistoric societies.
