Southern Indian food is an irresistible mix of the cooking styles and tastes of its five Southern states – Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. Vegetable Biryani

Thinking South Indian? (Then think Just Eat app.) And certainly think Vegetable Biryani. It’s a great one-stop, single pot of what’s what – a vegetable curry and Colourful Spiced Rice crammed with authentic Indian flavours. Biryanis are often served with Chicken or Lamb, but there are many delicious Vegetarian versions, too. And, believe us, a Biryani is so much more than just rice and meat or veggies – surprisingly complex flavours arise from the slow-cooked combos of cinnamon sticks, star anise, cumin, cardamom and even a dash of coconut milk. Eat it with a Chapati Flatbread – and relish. You could also think about the savoury, doughnut-like Vada (they’re not Darth, but they’re very dense). These fried fritters are made from lentils and gram flour with a smattering of potato mash to give them their compactness. Rice, Lentils and Stews

Rasam (aka Saaru) is a traditional South Indian Starter (or main) prepared using Tamarind Juice as a base, with tomato, chili pepper, pepper, cumin and other spices.
